Shisha no Teikoku (The Empire of Corpses) has a new trailer that will be released in theaters across Japan on October 2nd.
The film is one of three adaptations of the Project Itoh (Satoshi Itō) novels, the others being Genocidal Organ and Harmony . It is directed by Ryoutarou Makihara and animated by Wit Studio (Attack on Titan).
The story takes place in 19th-century Europe, following John Watson, who is being observed by the government to become a secret agent. Watson lives in a world where human corpses, "Frankensteins," are repurposed with souls to help workers in industry.
