With the end of the last episode of Shonen Hollywood (Shōnen Hollywood – Holly Stage for 49-), the production company decided to announce its continuation for 2015. The premiere of the second season arrives in January.
The anime is inspired by the mix of projects by author Ikuyo Hashiguchi. Shonen Hollywood is produced by the anime studio ZEXCS (Diabolik Lovers, Cuticle Tantei Inaba) and the label Starchild Records. Shogakukan Bunko originally published Hashiguchi's popular novel Shonen Hollywood in July 2012.
The anime will tell an original story, set 15 years after the events of the novel. It takes place in a fictional theater called Tokyo Hollywood, in Harajuku, where members of the idol group "Shonen Hollywood" will improve their skills through diligent study and hard work.
