According to the statement, the issue occurred on the 7th at 2:43 PM and lasted until 6 PM (Japan time). It was likely due to human error on the publisher's part, leaving users' personal data exposed to others.
In other words, some users had unauthorized access to other customers' information, such as email addresses, gender, date of birth, bonus coins, coin balances, purchases, and subscriptions. However, the publisher claims that at least users' passwords were not leaked during this issue.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to our customers.
In the editorial department, we will raise awareness of information security among all employees and work to prevent recurrence by ensuring proper work.”
Therefore, the company apologized to affected users and stated that there were no unauthorized charges or misuse of their coins on the site. Furthermore, the statement also states that affected customers will receive 500 coins as compensation.
