April gave us two holidays and a lot (or at least some) free time to binge-watch movies, series and anime . But, we don't always want to commit to long-term relationships. After all, sometimes we can't finish all the episodes and have to leave the season right at the climax. Or worse, we watch the anime and have to wait months, or even years, for a new season. With that in mind, we've listed here some short animes to binge-watch during the holiday and ensure you have fun on the weekend without fear.
These are the 5 short animes to watch on holiday
1. Asobi Asobase
Don't be fooled by the opening, Asobi Asobase isn't exactly a cute anime about female friendship. The story is a slice of life comedy, which follows three friends at the Clube dos Passatempeiros. As they are unable to join any other club at school, the girls then create a group where they can do what they like: play and play. The humor is often nonsense and guarantees a good laugh. The anime is available on Crunchyroll and has 12 episodes.
2. Boku dake ga Inai Machi (Erased)
Satoru has a special ability called Revival. It allows him to go back in time a few seconds whenever something bad is about to happen. This way, Satoru can prevent accidents and tragedies from occurring. However, after his mother's murder, Satoru ends up returning to his childhood and needs to discover the relationship between the past and this horrendous crime. The anime is available on Netflix and Crunchyroll, with 12 episodes.
3. Serial Experiments Lay
Serial Experiments Lain is an older cyberpunk anime, but it's definitely worth watching. The story begins with the suicide of a girl, who sends an email to her classmates saying that, in fact, she did not die. The girl claims that she is on Wired, a network similar to the internet. Upon receiving the email, Lain begins to research more about this network and has increasingly strange experiences. The anime is complex and mixes elements of reality with fiction, such as the Roswell case, of ufology. The anime is available on Funimation and has 13 episodes.
4. Back Street Girls: Gokudolls
In this anime, members of the Yakuza make a terrible mistake. To make up for the mistake, they are forced to transform into girls and form an idol group, thus ensuring the boss's profit. It's a strange and very funny comedy. The anime is available on Netflix and has 10 episodes.
5. Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume o Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai)
Finally, to match the Easter atmosphere, the last anime on the list is Seishun Buta Yarō , in which we have a girl dressed as a bunny. The story follows student Sakuta Azusagawa, who ends up meeting Mai Sakurajima in a library. However, even dressed in an erotic bunny costume, no one seems to notice the girl. This way, Sakuta, the only one who can see her, starts trying to help Mai get back to normal. However, the anime has 13 episodes and is available on Crunchyroll .
