The anime known among otaku as Showtime! Uta no Ojou-san (I Want to Do It, Even If She's a Songstress) has had its second season announced. It is scheduled to premiere in 2023 in Japan.

The anime had two versions, a censored one that aired on TV and an explicit one that was only available on the AnimeFesta. The publisher Suiseisha released the manga version in September 2021 in Japan, although Mai Kirikiri has been publishing it digitally since 2020.
Production team
- Saburou Miura was directing the anime at Rabbit Gate Studios , and was also responsible for writing and supervising the scripts.
- Kenichi Hamazaki was responsible for the character design, while LAZZ was responsible for the animation direction.
- Kanade Sakaguchi and MAME handled the art designs, while Mito Kanda served as director of photographic composition.
Synopsis:
Showtime! Uta no Oujo-san Datte Shitai begins when Shouji Fujimoto, a widowed and single father, meets Minami Takasaki, an idol singer from the children's educational program Oujou-san to Uta-ou!, outside of work. As a children's TV idol, Minami feels lonely in her private life and cannot fall in love. Any scandal is absolutely forbidden in her career. Thus begins a new love story aimed at an adult audience with a singer.
