Solo Leveling began as a series of novels , published by Chugong through KakaoPage between July 2016 and March 2018, totaling 14 volumes . The story was later adapted into a webtoon , illustrated by Jang Sung-rak , better known as DUBU. The digital version was serialized between March 2018 and December 2021, winning over fans around the world with its engaging plot and striking visuals.
Solo Leveling Franchise Expansion
The anime adaptation of the story further cemented the franchise's success. Produced by renowned studio A-1 Pictures , the first season premiered in winter 2024, while the second season , titled "Arise from the Shadow ," is currently airing.
