Solo Leveling | Season 2 of the manhwa has a release date announced

The official Twitter account of publisher D&C Webtoon announced the return of the notorious South Korean manhwa, Solo Leveling , which will start its second season on August 1, 2020.

Synopsis

Ten years ago, a "Portal" opened, connecting the real world to a world teeming with monsters. This event subsequently gave several people the power to hunt the monsters that passed through the Portals. These people became known as Hunters. The story's protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, is the weakest E-rank Hunter, barely stronger than a normal human. He is known among the Hunters as "the weakest." One day, he and other Hunters are trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few of them escape alive. Sung Jin-Woo barely survives, but he is the only one to complete the dungeon's challenges. Thus, he becomes the "player" who can see an interface displaying quests and other information. Will he succeed in becoming the strongest Hunter?

Solo Leveling by Chu-Gong began as a web novel with 13 volumes and a spinoff, but was published by D&C Media in Papyrus in 2014 and then serialized on Kakao's KakaoPage app from 2017 to 2018. The webtoon launched on KakaoPage in March 2018 and concluded its first season in March 2020.

The manhwa illustrated by Jang Sung-rak is published by NewPOP in Brazil, with 2 volumes available so far.
