Even three years after the end of the original Solo Leveling manhwa , the work continues to receive great recognition. Recently, Solo Leveling won the Grand Prize at the World Webtoon Awards , an event that took place at the end of September 2024.

As reported by The Korea Times, this award was part of the first edition of the World Webtoon Awards, an initiative of the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in partnership with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). The goal of this award is to strengthen the global presence of webtoons, one of the country's largest cultural exports.

The ceremony took place during the World Webtoon Festival, an event that also featured other popular webtoons such as Lookism and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. Lookism already has an anime adaptation produced by Studio Mir, released on Netflix in 2022, while Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint revealed its first trailer at this year's Anime Expo.

Redice Studio CEO Jang Jung-sook accepted the award and paid tribute to the manhwa founder, Jang Sung-rak (DUBU), who passed away in 2022. In his speech, Jung-sook reinforced the studio's commitment to creating high-quality webtoons for readers around the world.

Finally, Solo Leveling has been read over 14 billion times, solidifying its position as a giant in the webtoon universe. Furthermore, the franchise continues to expand. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the highly anticipated sequel, premiered in August in Korea and has already generated considerable interest.
