The manga SoreDemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru (Even So, Ayumu Approaches) by author Soichiro Yamamoto will be adapted into an anime. According to the official Twitter account of Shounen Magazine, the anime will arrive sometime in 2022.

Soichiro Yamamoto is already known for Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, and for his blend of comedy and romance.
Finally, the story follows Tanaka Ayumu and Yaotome Urushi. Ayumu likes Urushi, and he wants to confess his love to her, but he only wants to do so after defeating her in a game of shogi, and she is very good at shogi.
