Manga author Shun Kazami announced on his Twitter that plans to create a spinoff manga of the anime SSSS.Gridman focusing on the character Akane Shinjo have been canceled due to differences in direction for the manga's story. Kazami added that he has been having problems with the manga for over a year, without any progress, and apologized for the cancellation.
SSSS.Gridman premiered in October 2018 with 12 episodes and was directed by Akira Amemiya. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed it as it aired in Japan. Pony Canyon and Tsubasa Productions announced in December that Studio Trigger will animate the new anime project SSSS.Dynazenon , which is part of the “Gridman Universe”.
Synopsis
Yuta Hibiki awakens with amnesia and the ability to see things that others cannot. He first encounters Gridman in the reflection of his friend Rikka Takarada's computer screen, who tells him "Remember your calling," but Yuta doesn't understand what that means. Later, in the distance, he sees a gigantic, motionless monster. However, when Yuta arrives at school, a monster attacks, and the image Yuta saw on the monitor pulls him inside, transforming him into the giant hero Gridman.
Furthermore, Kazakami launched the manga Ultra Kaiju Humanization Project ( Ultra Kaiju Gijinka Keikaku: feat. POP Comic code ) in Akita Shoten 's Young Champion in January 2015, and it ended in January 2020. Designer POP is credited with the planning and creation of the original character designs, and Tsuburaya Production is credited with the original artwork.
