Excellent news for fans of the Steins ;Gate saga, is that according to some publications out there, Shinichiro Nariie has released a new adaptation of the manga titled Steins;Gate: Mugen Enten no Arc Light , based on the 2010 drama CD that tells a story not told by Steins;Gate, from the point of view of Mayuri Shiina 's childhood friend Rintaro Okabe .
Let's wait for a possible adaptation for Japanese TV, who knows.
Steins;Gate (シュタインズ・ゲート, Shutainzu Gēto?) is a Japanese visual novel developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus, and was released on October 15, 2009 for the Xbox 360. This is the second time these companies have worked together after Chaos;Head.
A manga adaptation was made by Sarachi Yomi and began being distributed by Monthly Comic Alive on September 26, 2009. A second manga series was made by Kenji Mizuta and distributed by Monthly Comic Blade on December 28, 2009. An anime version aired in Japan between April 6, 2011 and September 14, 2011, with the intention of being taken to the cinema. A sequel to the game called Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Darling was released on June 16, 2011.
