This Friday (04), Studio Khara , responsible for Evangelion , announced its new anime adaptation of the manga Sugar Sugar Rune .
Therefore, the anime is directed by Yusuke Matsui with animation by Studio Khara (Evangelion).
Sugar Sugar Rune magical girl manga series written and illustrated by Moyoco Anno . It was serialized in the shōjo manga magazine Nakayoshi between September 2003 and May 2007.
However, the manga was compiled into a total of eight volumes , published by Kodansha during the same period. The work received an anime adaptation produced by Studio Pierrot , between July 2, 2005 and June 24, 2006 .
