The series will feature Danvers (Melissa Benoist), or Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, and Alexandra "Alex" Danvers (Chyler Leigh), Kara's Earthly sister.
The story takes place when Kara arrives on Earth at age 12, after leaving the planet Krypton, and is adopted by the Danvers family – who teach her to be careful with her powers. After suppressing her abilities for a decade, Kara is forced to reveal her gifts in public during an unexpected disaster.
The premiere will take place between September and November on CBS.
