The opening sequence for the game Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris has finally been released on the Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia channel .
The song is called “Scar/let” and features the vocals of the singer ReoNa.
Previously, Bandai Namco Entertainment had postponed the release of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to July 9th and for PC to July 10th in Japan due to safety considerations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The game will be released in North America and Europe on July 10th. The release date for the game in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia was originally announced on May 22nd.
The game follows the same basic plot as volumes 9 through 18 of the Sword Art Online light novel and the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime . However, the game does not follow the same route as the Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld anime series , which premiered last October. Instead, the game branches off at that point into its own gameplay route.
