The official website for Sword Art Online II has released the third promotional video, featuring new images from the anime. The video showcases the new ending theme song, "Startear," performed by Luna Haruna. The video also shows scenes from school life with the main character Kirito, the heroine Asuna, and others.
The new series will adapt the third arc , Phantom Bullet, from Reki Kawahara 's original light novel . The new arc , spanning the fifth and sixth volumes, introduces the heroine Sinon and the already well-known protagonist Kirito .
The premiere in Japan will be on Tokyo, MX TV on July 5th at 11:30 AM. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as Kirito, the protagonist from the first season of the anime.
