The second installment of the "Sword Art Online Progressive" trilogy, titled "Sword Art Online Progressive: Kuraki Yuuyami no Scherzo," has had a new trailer revealed, leaving fans excited for its premiere. According to reports, the film will be released in theaters Japanese October 22nd.

Several voice actors will return for the film. Additionally, Kaede Hondo will voice Liten, while Yuusuke Kobayashiwill voice Death.
The film is directed by Ayako Kohno at A-1 Pictures, with character designs by Kento Toya and music by Yuki Kajiura.
Synopsis:
Kazuto Kirigaya is a brave young man passionate about the world of video games. When a virtual reality game called Sword Art Online emerges, capable of forever affecting the lives of its players, he decides to use his skills to conquer all the stages and floors of the game.
The film's original soundtrack is scheduled for release on September 9th, one day before the film's premiere.
Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, the first film in the trilogy, premiered in Japan in October 2021 and topped the box office in its opening weekend.
