Sword of the Demon Hunter: Manga gets anime adaptation

The highly anticipated 14th and final volume of the renowned Sword of the Demon Hunter (Kijin Gentou Shou) saga, written by Moto'o Nakanishi, has announced exciting news for fans: its anime series adaptation is scheduled to premiere in 2024.

Originally scheduled for September 2021, the anime promises to bring to life the fascinating universe of the work.

Synopsis:

The story unfolds during Japan's Edo period and revolves around Jinta, a bodyguard tasked with protecting a priestess in a remote mountain village. Despite being an outsider in the community, Jinta finds himself entrusted with an epic mission: hunting a demon deep within the forest. However, upon confronting the demon, he is confronted with an enigmatic future full of mysteries.

Finally, Kijin Gentōshō began publication in June 2019 with art by Tamaki. The work has over 230,000 copies in circulation in Japan.
