We recently had some images from the anime The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim released by the website EW (Entertainment Weekly). Therefore, fans can now stay up to date with the official synopsis.

The War of the Rohirrim adapts a story from Tolkien's books, set 200 years before the events of the film trilogy. We are introduced to the protagonist Hèra (voiced by Gaia Wise), who didn't even have a name in the original story.
Synopsis The War of the Rohirrim:
“The story of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand , the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf , a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord who seeks revenge for his father's death, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand at the ancient fortress of Hornburg - a mighty fortress that will later be known as Helm's Deep . Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Héra, the daughter of Helm, must find the strength to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy determined to destroy them completely.”
Finally directed by Kenji Kamiyama , produced by Joseph Chou (Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045). Furthermore, the film opens in theaters on December 13, 2024.
