The manga series Taiyou Yori mo Mabushii Hoshi ( A Star Brighter Than the Sun ) had its anime adaptation announced this Monday (10).

Synopsis:

Sae and Koki are childhood friends, sharing a bond that dates back to their early school years. However, one fateful day at the end of elementary school, Sae has an unexpected revelation: Koki has grown up! Now in high school, she faces an even more impactful discovery: she's in love with him! Written and illustrated by Kazune Kawahara, A Star Brighter Than the Sun ( Taiyou Yori mo Mabushii Hoshi ) began serialization in Shueisha's shōjo manga magazine, Bessatsu Margaret, on June 11, 2021. The series' chapters were collected into ten tankōbon volumes as of November 2024. In May 2024, Viz Media announced that it had licensed the series for English publication.
