The staff of the anime Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari announced at Crunchyroll Expo that the second season will premiere in 2021.
Furthermore, the virtual panel featured composer Keigo Koyanagi, character designer Masahiro Suwa, and producer Junichiro Tamura.

Tamura stated during the panel that the staff will try not to have a large gap between the second and third seasons, since fans have waited quite a while for the second season.

Synopsis
Iwatani Naofumi was transported to a parallel world along with three other people to become the Heroes of that world. Each of the heroes, upon being summoned, received a legendary weapon given to the Heroes who would save that world. Naofumi received the Legendary Shield, the only defensive weapon, while the others received weapons capable of attacking.
Staff
Misato Jinbo is directing the new season at Kinema Citrus and DR MOVIE, replacing Takao Abo. Keigo Koyanagi is once again in charge of the anime's composition. Masahiro Suwa is again adapting Seira Minami's character designs for animation. Kevin Penkin is returning to compose the soundtrack.
Crunchyroll announced last year that the anime would have two more seasons.
Furthermore, the first season aired in 2019, consisting of 25 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
Tate no Yuusha by author Aneko Yusagi began as a novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2012. Media Factory began publishing the light novel with illustrations by Minami Seira in August 2013, and it currently has 22 volumes.
Finally, the manga adaptation of Aiya Kyu launched in 2014 in Media Factory 's Monthly Comic Flapper , and currently has 16 volumes.
