The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2 Announced

We have the official announcement of the 2nd season of the anime The Ancient Magus' Bride ( Mahotsukai no Yome ) by author Kore Yamazaki . According to information on the official website , the new season will premiere in 2023.

Therefore, the announcement confirms the adaptation of the “ Gakuin ” (College) arc of the manga , released in May 2018.

The new season is directed by Kazuaki Terasawa at KAFKA , with scripts by Aya Takaha, Yoko Yonaiyama, and Chiaki Nishinaka. Character design by Hirotaka Kato, and music by Junichi Matsumoto.

Synopsis:

The story revolves around Hatori Chise, who has lived a life of suffering, devoid of any feeling. When all hope seemed lost, she encounters a man with the head of an animal, wielding strange powers, who buys her at a slave auction. The man is a sorcerer of great power, who decides to free Chise from the bonds of captivity.

In October 2017, the manga was adapted into a 24-episode anime series. The animation is by Wit Studio (Attack on Titan), directed by Norihiro Naganuma (Yowamushi Pedal), and character designs by Hirotaka Katō .
