The anime adaptation of My Girlfriend's Friend (Kanojo no Tomodachi) has received a new teaser video, as well as a second promotional image and new details about its production team. The announcement was made on the series' official website, also confirming its premiere on Japanese TV in October of this year.
Among the newly revealed names are Kazuma Akagi in object design, Do Kim Hoan Tran as art director, and Momoka Saeki responsible for color design. These additions strengthen the team working on the adaptation of the manga created by Jura.
Synopsis
The story follows Takeru, a high school student who finally begins a relationship with Kaori, his first girlfriend. However, the situation changes when Tomoko, Kaori's best friend, starts showing interest in the boy and tries to win him over.
The anime is being produced by Studio Quad, directed by Takashi Andō. The scripts are being supervised by Gokō Shiraki, while Ryūji Iwata is responsible for character designs. The main cast includes Ryūga Nagaike as Takeru, Sayahana Hanemurasaki as Kaori, and Miki Hase as Tomoko.
Finally, the manga was launched in May 2021 on Kodansha 's YanMaga Web platform , and its seventh compiled volume will be released in July.
