The famous anime based on the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, "Death Note," will be released on DVD in Brazil. Websites are already listing pre-orders for the box set, which will be released on July 23rd by Playarte in a three-disc box set.
The manga follows the story of Raito (Light) Yagami, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that causes the death of anyone whose name is written in it. Raito then begins killing all criminals and attempts to create a world without evil, but his plans are thwarted by L, the world's greatest private detective.
The Warner Bros. film will be based on the first three volumes of 'Death Note', published in Brazil by JBC.
