The fandom of Oshi no Ko is accused of harassing Hana Kimura's family

The Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization (BPO) is a Japanese group dedicated to receiving viewer complaints regarding inappropriate content on Japanese television. However, this time a viewer filed a complaint concerning the controversy surrounding Oshi no Ko and how fans are harassing Hana Kimura's family.
“In an anime, there was an episode where a female character on a dating reality show is harassed and contemplates suicide. Because the portrayal evokes a real-life incident, the relatives of the woman who committed suicide have expressed their discomfort online and have received excessive harassment from a subset of the show's fans. The production company and broadcaster created the impetus behind these attacks on individuals – shouldn't there be some kind of announcement to address this?”
Kimura's mother criticized the anime for profiting from her daughter's death, and some fans began criticizing her back to defend the work. Therefore, the BPO's complaint refers to those responsible for the production of Oshi no Ko, since the animation studio and the author of the work, Aka Akasaka , have not commented on this case.
