The cast of the live-action Sakamoto Days has gained some new names. Shiono Akihisa has been confirmed as Kashima , while Watanabe Keisuke plays Natsuki Seba , two members of the dangerous organization X (Slur).

In the plot, Faction X seeks to destroy the Japanese Assassins Association. Furthermore, the group begins hunting Taro Sakamoto , the legendary assassin played by Meguro Ren . Kashima draws attention for his eccentric appearance: an immortal cyborg with a reindeer head and weapons hidden throughout his body. Seba, on the other hand, emerges as an apathetic assassin, hired as a freelancer, who uses an invisibility suit to surprise his targets.
According to Shiono, the invitation to play a character with "a reindeer head" immediately sparked his curiosity. Meanwhile, Watanabe highlighted the balance between intense action and humor, a trademark of the adaptation directed by Yuichi Fukuda .
The film premieres on April 29, 2026, and adapts the manga by Yuto Suzuki , published in Weekly Shonen Jump. Therefore, the production promises stylized action, sharp comedy, and charismatic characters.
