Square Enix announced on Friday that the manga The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta) is getting an anime adaptation that will debut this year.
Koume Fujichika drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement:
The anime's official website is hosting a countdown that will end on January 31st.
Synopsis
A very enjoyable romantic comedy about a boy who only has eyes for the girl who always forgets her glasses! With the new school year comes a new classroom, new classmates and a new desk for shy Komura. But any apprehension he may have felt quickly dissipates when he spots Mie, who sits next to him. With a habit of silently blurting out the most random things possible, the quirky Mie wears thick glasses that accentuate her adorable eyes, making Komura's heart skip a beat! Unfortunately, Mie is pathologically forgetful and can never remember to bring her glasses to class! But not all is lost! His thin, mean face makes Komura's heart race! While Komura is eager to help and share his books with Mie, will his heart give up on the almost daily strain of being close to his crush?!
