The anime The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne (Saikyou Degarashi Ouji) has received a new promotional video, a new visual, and confirmed its premiere for July 6th in Japan. The adaptation is based on the light novel written by Tanba and illustrated by Yuunagi, published by Kadokawa since 2019.

New trailer highlights theme songs

The second promotional video also revealed the series' theme songs. The group BUDDiiS performs the opening theme "Script," while the ending theme "Suteki na Kanchigai" is performed by the idol group Kurawan. The production will initially air on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji channels, and will also be available on the ABEMA, U-NEXT, d Anime Store, and Anime Hōdai platforms.

The story follows Arnold Lakes Adler, the seventh prince of the Adrasia Empire. Known as a talentless heir, he hides his true identity: Silver, one of the continent's five SS-rank adventurers. When his younger brother decides to challenge for the throne, Arnold begins working in the shadows to influence the imperial succession.

Cast and crew of the anime

The main cast includes Yūma Uchida as Arnold, Kikunosuke Toya as Leonard, and Manaka Iwami as Fine von Kleinert. Yūji Yanase, known for works such as By the Grace of the Gods , is directing , while Maho Film studio is handling the animation.

In addition to the light novel, the work also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yukino Amagai. Currently, the series has 16 volumes of the novel and will reach its tenth volume in July.
