The official website for the 3rd season of the anime “The Irregular at Magic High School” (Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei) has revealed the series' premiere date. Additionally, a new commercial has been released.
Therefore, the new season of The Irregular at Magic High School premieres on April 5th of this year.
Jimmy Stone, animation director and episode director for previous projects in the franchise, is directing the new anime at Studio 8-Bit. Taku Iwasaki (Black Butler, Bungo Stray Dogs, Gurren Lagann) returns as music composer.
The first season of the anime premiered in April 2014 and had 26 episodes. However, a second season, titled "Visitor Arc," premiered on October 3rd and had 13 episodes. The franchise released the film "Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars" in Japan in June 2017.
