The new Urusei Yatsura anime gets its first promotional video

I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

The official website for the new anime inspired by Rumiko Takahashi, Urusei Yatsura, has posted the first full promotional video for the anime, featuring images from the animation and the first image showcasing the adaptation's visual style.

In addition, the video announces two more new voice actors, more staff members, and the anime's premiere in October of this year.

The newly announced voice actors are:

Wataru Takagi as Cherry

Miyuki Sawashiro as Sakura

Takahiro Kamei (episode director on Strike Witches: Road to Berlin, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) will serve as series director. Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, 2019's Fruits Basket) is composing the music. Other newly announced staff members include:

  • Mechanical Design: JNTHED, YoshihiroSono
  • Prop Design: Ryou Hirata
  • Art Design: Kaoru Aoki
  • Art Director: Masanobu Nomura
  • Color artist: Ayaka Nakamura
  • CG Director: Kanji Oshima
  • Director of Photography Composition: Yuuichirou Nagata
  • Edited by: Kiyoshi Hirose
  • Sound director: Yoshikazu Iwanami

The new anime will adapt selected stories from the manga and is expected to last four cours (quarters of a year) or a full year, though not necessarily consecutively.
