The official Twitter for Eiichiro Oda 's One Piece manga revealed that it will be taking a one-month break while the author prepares for the 25th anniversary and the "final saga" of the series.
The manga will take a break from the 30th issue of Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump, running from June 27th to the 33rd issue. The series will return in the magazine's 34th issue on July 25th.
Shueisha, the publisher, released the 27th issue of the magazine this Monday, which means the manga still has two more chapters before the hiatus begins.
Oda stated in a comment that several months ago, many people warned him that this summer would be very difficult due to the premiere of One Piece Film Red in theaters, the manga's 25th anniversary in July, and the end of the Wano arc all coinciding.
These same people suggested that Oda take a break for about a month, but at first Oda was against it. However, he later said that he really needed some time to prepare, and so he is taking a break.
