Namco Bandai Games has released the animated opening for the sequel God Eater , with all animation handled by ufotable (the same studio behind The Garden of Sinners and Fate/Zero), and directed by Takayuki Hirao.

The story of God Eater 2 takes place in the year 2074, three years after the events of the first game. The world is still threatened by the mysterious living entities known as "Aragami".
