The opening theme song for Oshi no Ko , "Idol" by YOASOBI , topped YouTube's global Top Songs chart for the week of June 30th to July 6th. However, the song also broke records on other platforms, accumulating 300 million views.

According to Oricon, "Idol" garnered 300 million streams in Japan and remained in first place on streaming platforms for 13 consecutive weeks. This made the opening theme of Oshi no Ko the fastest song to surpass 300 million views in Japan.
Furthermore, the song had already broken other records, reaching number one on Apple's Top 100 music chart on June 21st and also becoming the first Japanese song to reach number one on the Billboard Global chart on June 10th.
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino appears at his office, claiming to be pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. However, the idol refuses to abort; she wants to have both children. Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his premature death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in the arms of his beloved idol, Gorou discovers he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Finally , Akasaka and Yokoyari launched the manga in Shueisha 's Young Jump in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga was released on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
