A new release date has been set for the second season of the anime The Promised Neverland, which was previously scheduled for October of this year.
The information came via Twitter that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the anime's premiere has been postponed to January 2021.
Thus, the first season of the anime premiered in January 2019. Aniplex licensed the anime to Crunchyroll, Hulu, Funimation, and HIDIVE. Toonami began streaming the anime in April 2019.
Shirai and Demizu launched the manga The Promised Neverland in Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine in August 2016, and the series entered its final arc in September 2018.
Finally, a film adaptation will be shown in theaters in December 2020.
