The official website for the anime adaptation of the light novel The Unwanted Undead Adventurer (Nozomanu Fushi no Bōkensha) has revealed the show's cast, staff, poster, promotional teaser video, and premiere date for 2024.

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman, all three seasons, Slow Loop) is directing the anime at CONNECT . Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, all four seasons) is supervising the series scripts, and Takao Sano (The Honor Student at Magic High School, Restaurant to Another World) is designing the characters.

Synopsis
The protagonist is, therefore, a bronze-class adventurer who lives in Malt, located on the border of the Kingdom of Yaran. Unfortunately, he encounters a powerful monster inside the labyrinth and ends up being devoured. When he regains consciousness, he realizes he has become a "Skeleton." Unable to speak and unable to return to the city due to his current condition, he then remembers the existence of existential evolution, which is nothing more than the fact that monsters can evolve into other forms by defeating opponents. With the goal of gaining a body with flesh, in addition to just bones, he will begin his epic journey, eliminating everything in his path…
Finally, The Unwanted Undead Adventurer was published in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2016. A manga adaptation by Haiji Nakasone began publication in November 2017, with its 9th volume scheduled for release on April 25, 2022.
