During the virtual Anime Expo Lite anime adaptation Square Enix RPG game The Square Ends With You (Subarashiki Kono Sekai) will be available worldwide in 2021.
The anime's title was revealed as The World Ends with You the Animation (Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation). The panel also revealed a promotional video.

Kazuya Ichikawa (Monster Strike the Animation) is directing the anime. Midori Gotou in Sanzigen is the scriptwriter. Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi are credited with the character designs.
Finally, it takes place in present-day Tokyo in a commercial district, and tells the story of Neku , a red-haired boy who wakes up in Shibuya with a mysterious stopwatch in his hand.
