The anime Let Me Fix You (Kimi wo Tsumugu) had its production halted just weeks before its premiere. The project was affected by serious accusations involving Federico Antonio Russo, linked to the studio Buta Productions, responsible for the adaptation.
The allegations surfaced in early May when a person identified as Maryco accused the executive of grooming. According to the account, the contact began in 2021, when the victim was 14 years old. A document with dozens of pages and message logs supported the accusation.
Studio collapses after allegations
Following the backlash, the team immediately severed all ties with Russo. As a direct result, Buta Productions ceased operations. In a statement, the animators claimed to be unaware of the CEO's actions and mentioned previous internal problems, including reports of toxic management and lack of transparency.

Now, part of the team is trying to work independently. Some professionals are already seeking new projects as freelancers, while partners are showing support during this transition phase. Even so, the future of the production remains uncertain.
Uncertain future of Let Me Fix You
The anime Let Me Fix You was originally planned as a short adaptation of a yuri manga originating from doujinshi, with a premiere scheduled for May on YouTube. The initial proposal included expanding the work into new formats, depending on audience reception.
Given the current situation, the creative team has put any decision-making on hold. There is a possibility of resuming the project independently, but a definitive cancellation is also not ruled out.
Ultimately, everything from now on depends on the reorganization of the team and future conditions.
