Episode 10 of To Be Hero X , released on June 7th, marks the final episode of Lucky Cyan's arc and reveals the truth behind the plane crash, explaining the reason for the character's luck. After discovering the protagonist's past, the audience feels an uncontrollable rage, and Cyan's credibility plummets drastically. Furthermore, people are consumed by fear particles and lose control of their bodies.
At the beginning of the episode, after hearing that Luo has died, Cyan decides to go to the orphanage to confirm the information. However, the director appears and blames the girl for all the misfortunes that have occurred at the orphanage since she left. He even claims that Cyan's luck comes from the bad luck of others and explains that this is how she survived the plane crash.
Furthermore, the episode reveals that the orphanage director, in the previous episode, whispered in Luo's ear that Cyan was on the same plane as his parents. The boy, distraught by the news, is consumed by fear particles and succumbs to hatred. According to the explanation presented on the anime's official website, "fear particles are substances that contain negative energy and are released by the human body when a person is frightened. When infected by these particles, abnormal changes occur in the body, and the person ends up losing consciousness." This is exactly what happened to the people at the orphanage in episode 9, and, as revealed in this episode, also to other people in the region.

Lucky Cyan's popularity plummets
After Lucky Cyan's past is revealed, her credibility plummets. As a result, people stop believing in her and consider her luck to be related to the misfortune of others. The population judges that Cyan's luck comes at a price and they begin to hate her.
When Lucky Cyan is at the DOS agency, the heroine Queen, daughter of the journalist who rescued Cyan, presents a solution. Queen reveals that there was a recording in progress on the plane Cyan was on, and that it was given to the director of the orphanage. With this information, the protagonist decides to return to her former home to try and recover the recording.

Cyan recovers the flight record and gains credibility
When Lucky Cyan arrives at the orphanage, she must confront the director and the people infected with the fear particles. Dynamism is one of the key points of the scene, as the anime does not use static scenes during the conflict. Furthermore, the animation opts for strong and intense colors during the confrontation. It's common for To Be Hero X to use striking soundtracks during the characters' fights, and this episode was no different. While Cyan faces the director, "Take Off," the protagonist's theme song, plays in the background, intensifying the scene.
After defeating the director, Lucky Cyan finds Luo. The boy, who is infected by fear particles, tries to attack the girl. However, Cyan finds the flight log and plays it for Luo to listen to. The log reveals that the protagonist's luck comes from the trust, hope, and wishes that the passengers on board the plane, including Luo's parents, placed in her. The true reason behind Cyan's luck is sad, but it's also comforting that the passengers' wishes were fulfilled.

The revelation of the truth causes Luo to regain consciousness. Soon after, Lucky Cyan's story is revealed to the public. In this way, the protagonist recovers her credibility and popularity, as well as Luo's friendship. Furthermore, she achieves 7th place in the hero ranking. Cyan's arc brings a happy ending for the protagonist, unlike the story of Lin Ling and Yang Cheng.
The final scene of the anime shows Shang Chao's father at the location where Yang Cheng, from the E-Soul arc, used as a base when carrying out his hero activities.
To Be Hero X: What to expect from the next episode?
According to the published schedule, the next two episodes will focus on the Queen, the heroine who holds the 2nd position in the hero ranking. It's likely that the first episode of the Queen's arc will introduce the character and delve a little deeper into her past and the origin of her power.
Even with the change in style, the animation of To Be Hero X remains incredible. And now that it's in 2D, it's likely to encourage even more people to check out the anime. Episode 11, which marks the beginning of a new arc, will be released next Saturday, June 14th, on the Crunchyroll streaming platform, dubbed in Portuguese.
