The light novel Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki (A Playthrough of a Certain Dude's VRMMO Life) is getting an anime adaptation. According to reports, the novel is by author Howahowa Shiina with illustrations by Yamaada.

Synopsis:
The story revolves around Tanaka Daichi (38 years old, single). He loves games and plays a new type of VRMMO called "One More Free Life Online" under the name "Earth." Within this world, he has chosen various skills that are generally useless. Among them, cooking without any taste, or hunting monsters with some absurdly made weapon, he simply enjoys playing the game. An adventure story about an ordinary middle-aged man slowly enjoying his sandbox VRMMO game!
AlphaPolis began publishing the novels in 2014. Shuuya Rikudou launched the manga adaptation in the same year .
