The highly anticipated second season of the anime Tokyo Ghoul , based on the manga by Sui Ishida , has a premiere date set in Japan: January. The information was confirmed on the series' official website, generating excitement among fans.

Previously, Ishida had indicated on Twitter that an important announcement would be revealed in Young Jump , which publishes the original manga. Therefore, the news of the return didn't surprise anyone, but it excited the otaku community.

Original exhibition and international licensing

The first season premiered on July 3rd at midnight—technically July 4th—on Tokyo MX, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TVQ Kyushu , and BS Dlife DVD and home video release , expanding the show's reach beyond Japan.

Tokyo Ghoul: A dark and intriguing plot

The story follows Kaneki , a young university student living in a Tokyo plagued by creatures known as Ghouls —monsters that feed on humans. Although they appear human, their true natures remain hidden. Kaneki meets Rize , a girl as passionate about books as he is, at a local café. However, a chance encounter drastically transforms his life.

Furthermore, new details about the upcoming season should be released soon. So stay tuned for updates!
