Tokyo Revengers anime Ken Wakui 's manga , received its first trailer revealing cast, staff and an April 2021 premiere date.
Additionally, the manga about a former delinquent who goes back in time to save his middle school girlfriend, TOKYO REVENGERS, won the 44th Kodansha Award for Best Shonen Manga of 2020.

Koichi Hatsumi ( Berserk , Deadman Wonderland ) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS , and Yasuyuki Muto ( Deadman Wonderland ) is writing the script. Kenichi Ohnuki ( Golden Kamuy ) and Keiko Oda are doing the character designs. Satoki Iida is the sound director, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi ( Jujutsu Kaisen ) is composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis
Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his middle school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was killed by a vicious group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his boss, six years younger than him, treats him like an idiot. Plus… Takemichi is a complete virgin. With his life at rock bottom, he suddenly travels 12 years back in time, to middle school! To save Hinata and change the life he lost running away, desperate part-time employee Takemichi must rise to the top of Kanto's most sinister gangs.
Finally, Tokyo Revengers has been published by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine since March 2017, with story and art by Ken Wakui. Additionally, Warner Bros. Japan is producing a live-action film based on the manga, with Tsutomu Hanabusa (live-action Kakegurui ) as director. However, production has been delayed due to COVID-19.
