The 51st issue of this year's Weekly Shonen Magazine, published by Kodansha, revealed that manga creator Ken Wakuiwill unveil a special arc for his manga Tokyo Revengers at a large-scale exhibition in Roppongi, Tokyo, around November 2023.

The magazine also revealed that it is serializing the spinoff manga "Tokyo Revengers Extra".

Tokyo Revengers Extra features eight chapters and focuses on the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang. The first chapter is titled "The Wounded Tiger." The extra manga chapters were originally packaged with the Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of the Tokyo Revengers anime.

The manga ended this Wednesday.

Synopsis

Takemichi Hanagaki is an unemployed man who survives by doing odd jobs and is depressed. He discovers that Hinata Tachibana, his first and last girlfriend, whom he dated in elementary school, was killed by the ruthless Manji Gang of Tokyo. The day after the news breaks, he is on the edge of the train platform and is pushed by the crowd. He closes his eyes, preparing to die, but when he opens them, he has traveled back in time to when he was 12 years old. Now that he is in the best time of his life, Takemichi decides to avenge his past, saving his girlfriend and stopping his relapse into self-preservation.

Ken Wakui then launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. The publisher therefore released the 29th volume of the manga on August 17th, and will release the 30th volume on Thursday.
