This year's 51st issue of Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine revealed that manga creator Ken Wakui will reveal a special arc for his Tokyo Revengers at a large-scale exhibition in Roppongi, Tokyo, around November 2023 .
The magazine also revealed that it is serializing the spinoff manga “ Tokyo Revengers Extra ”.
Tokyo Revengers Extra has eight chapters and focuses on the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang. The first chapter is titled “The Wounded Tiger”. The manga's extra chapters were originally packaged alongside the Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of the Tokyo Revengers anime.
The manga ended this Wednesday.
Synopsis
Takemichi Hanagaki is an unemployed man who survives on odd jobs and is in a rut. He discovered that Hinata Tachibana, his first and last girlfriend, who he dated in elementary school, was killed by Tokyo's merciless Manji Gang. The day after the news, he is on the edge of the train platform and is pushed by the crowd. He closes his eyes preparing to die, but when he opens them, he goes back in time to when he was 12 years old. Now that he is in the best time of his life, Takemichi decides to take revenge for his life by saving his girlfriend and stopping running away from himself.
Ken Wakui then launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. The publisher therefore published the 29th volume of the manga on August 17, and will publish the 30th volume on Thursday.
