Animes that involve traveling to another world make a bad first impression on some viewers, as they are often quickly labeled as clichés.
However, several anime in this category are excellent choices for those looking to watch a good anime in general. Check out some of our recommendations below:
5. Zero no Tsukaima

Final considerations
A very fun anime, but with its ups and downs, the anime has some unnecessary episodes for the main plot, which can end up immensely frustrating those who don't like "harem" anime, but the ending rewards us in a way capable of moving any viewer.
4. Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

This one divides opinions. Some might find it the most exhausting thing in the world to watch, as the protagonist travels back in time multiple times to shape his destiny, while others might find the idea interesting and simply enjoy the show. Either way, the anime presents us with intriguing mysteries and a good development of the protagonist Subaru, who suddenly parachutes into a fantasy world.
3. Hataraku Maou-sama!
Synopsis
The Demon King Satan was just one step away from conquering the magical world of Ente Isla, but he was defeated by the heroine Emilia Justina and forced to travel to another world: modern-day Earth. Due to the lack of magic in this world, Satan and his faithful squire Alsiel assume human form. Now, under the name Sadao Maou, the Demon King must freelance at a fast-food chain to survive and pay his expenses. From then on, Sadao and Alsiel (now under the name Shiro Ashiya) begin living as humans while planning to return to Ente Isla and thus dominate it and Earth. What he didn't count on was that Emilia would also come to Earth, intent on killing him.

The first encounter with this anime is completely bizarre, as it begins with a serious narrative tone, but soon shows that it was designed to make the viewer laugh, and it achieves this exquisitely. The 13 episodes of the anime pass so quickly that those who finish watching it leave wanting more. It's a shame that there's no confirmation of the anime's return; however, the light novel is still being published to this day.
2. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!
Synopsis
After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato's brief and disappointing life should have ended, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. Kazuma decides to take the goddess herself with him, and they are transported to a fantasy world full of adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma simply wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this new world's problems, and the demon king won't ignore them for long…
Final considerations
Without a doubt, the great thing about this anime is how it manages to play with all the clichés of anime of this genre, the protagonist really manages to convey the idea that he really is an ordinary person who fell headfirst into that world, and as they introduce more characters to the work, the jokes get funnier and funnier.
1. Sword Art Online

However, if they die in the game, they will also die in real life. The fight for survival begins now...
Final considerations
This is undoubtedly one of the great pioneers of anime in this category. The first arc manages to convey the anime's point well, always maintaining a sense of danger that someone important will die, as well as magnificently orchestrated fight scenes, both in soundtrack and animation. It's undeniable that the story begins to show signs of weakening compared to the first season starting with the Alfheim Online arc, but in the Alicization Saga, the author manages to develop an excellent narrative, in a universe that now encompasses several very interesting and unique characters, not limited to just Kirito and Asuna.
The vast majority of anime on the list can be officially watched via Crunchyroll.
