TOP 5 - Anime that deserve a sequel

Charles Ono
Hello! My name is Charlles and I'm passionate about Japanese culture, especially the world of anime. Here, I share trivia, news, and everything related to this world...

Today, we've selected 5 anime that urgently deserve a sequel! Choosing just 5 was very difficult, as there are countless others that need a continuation. In any case, the ones we selected were and continue to be successful. So, without further ado, let's get to the list:

Anime That Deserve a Sequel — Top 5

Anime - Btooom!
Anime – Btooom!

05. — Btooom!: First, let's start with this work that was released almost 10 years ago and to this day we haven't had any announcement of a second season. But, even so, it was a great success in 2012, due to its strong scenes and a very impactful story.

Furthermore, the staff has plenty of original material to create a new adaptation. However, the feedback suggests that sales weren't as expected, and even the games based on this work fell short. In any case, it's very unlikely we'll see a continuation of this work, so the best thing to do is read the manga and be content with the first season for now.

Anime - Deadman Wonderland

04. — Deadman Wonderland: Here we see a slightly older work, as it was released in 2011 and had a total of 12 episodes. Furthermore, what stood out most about this work is the overall context they created: from the blood-based powers and the prison setting to the characters with their unique personalities.

In short, this work stands out in many ways and is simply sensational. But, being part of this list, you can probably guess that there's no indication of a new season. In any case, the manga is already finished, and we'd all love to see it animated.

03. — No Game No Life

And to kick off our TOP 3, we have this 2014 hit. It brought a completely new dynamic, entirely focused on the diversity of games. Besides, who wouldn't want to live in a world that resolves all conflicts through games?

Intertwined with all of this, we have the best duo ever created. There, we see Kuuhaku, who never loses a game, in addition to an unparalleled adventure to lead the human race to the top! Without a doubt, this is an anime that urgently deserves a sequel, but to this day, nothing. However, we had a movie in 2017, giving us a glimmer of hope that something might be coming in the future.

02. —Noragami

Anime – Noragami
Anime – Noragami

Here we see the great God of Calamity! Noragami, which came in strong in 2014, didn't stop there, as we had a second season the following year. However, this wonderful work stopped after that, and we never heard any news of a future continuation.

In any case, they have enough original material to start a new season, but apparently no one is interested in it. Which is a shame, because following the God Yato was truly a unique experience, full of emotion, drama, and many epic scenes.

01. — Berserk

And to close out our list for the day, we have what many consider to be the best manga of all time. Furthermore, the last season of this work aired recently in 2017, but it received a barrage of criticism due to its animation. Additionally, the manga's author recently passed away, casting doubt on the future of the work.

On the other hand, there's plenty of material for a new animation, plus a legion of fans who would give anything to see our beloved Guts animated again. But for now, all we can do is patiently await the future of this work.

Well folks, that was our list for today, I hope you enjoyed it! By the way, if you know of another work that deserves a new season and wasn't mentioned, leave it in the comments. Until next time!
