The official Toriko Twitter account announced that the anime will end on March 30th. Toriko fans already suspected the anime was ending, given the news that Dragon Ball Kai will air on April 6th at 9:00 AM. No news has yet been released regarding the anime's return.
The manga is written and illustrated by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro and began publication in early May 2008. Due to its popularity and strong support from Jump, as well as crossovers with One Piece and Dragon Ball, Toriko has already spawned three films in its short lifespan and has a fourth planned for the next semester.
In a world where the taste and texture of food are paramount, lives Toriko, a hunter of precious foods, regularly hired by restaurants and wealthy men. He possesses superhuman skills for capturing fierce, elusive, and rare animals to fulfill his dream of the perfect meal.
