Toshinori Sogabe has released a new manga titled Shitai no Karen-san! (Karen the Corpse) on the Piccoma website and app on Monday. The manga was released on the service with 10 chapters, and will add a new chapter every Monday. The first two chapters are free.
The romantic comedy centers on Kōta Nakamichi, who has been possessed by female spirits since he was a child. Kōta is looking for a job and he has a final interview, but the scantily dressed spirits surrounding him make the interview a total failure. However, his interviewer, company president Karen Suguri, has a secret of her own.
Toshinori Sogabe launched the manga adaptation of Ichiro Sakaki's Scrapped Princess novels on Kadokawa's Comic Clear website in October 2016.
The manga Amaenaideyo!! by Sogabe inspired the television anime Ah My Buddha!! of 13 episodes in 2005, and a 13-episode second season debuted in 2006. Media Blasters released the series in over six DVD volumes from 2009-2010, and released a complete collection in 2012. Right Stuf acquired the anime in 2014 and released it on home video in the same year.
