There is no doubt that Pokémon is one of the most successful franchises in the world. So much so that the Japanese football team adopted Pikachu as its mascot to come to the 2014 World Cup . However, it is not just in football that the electric mouse is honored by the Japanese.
Toyota presented two cars inspired by Pikachu and Fennekin, another Pokémon from the series, at the 2014 Tokyo Toy Fair . The company does not intend to sell or mass manufacture these cars, at least for now, but it appears that the two cars were a huge success at the Japanese toy fair.
Who knows, maybe even the automaker will decide to put these cars in dealerships and brighten up the streets of Japan a little. There aren't many details about the cars as they were made just for demonstrations, especially for this one. So no cutting-edge technologies or any electrical solutions you might have imagined.
