Toyotarō , artist and co-creator of the Dragon Ball Super manga , surprised fans by revealing a previously unseen illustration of Goku and Vegeta in their most powerful forms to date. However, this tribute marks the seventh anniversary of the Dragon Ball Legends game , one of the longest-running titles in the franchise.

Furthermore, the exclusive artwork depicts Goku in his Ultra Instinct and Vegeta in Ultra Ego, charging towards the viewer with their fists. As announced on the game's official social media channels, players will be able to use this illustration as wallpaper and also as a cover for in-game sleeves.

Previously, Toyotarō had already designed the cover for Volume 24 of the manga, released in Japan on April 4, 2025. The volume, titled "A Legacy for the Future," compiles chapters 101 to 104 and shocked fans with its intense depiction of the Z fighters.

While Goku and Vegeta appear in their Ultra forms, Gohan Beast , Orange Piccolo , and the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly also emerge, all scarred by battles but still ready for new combats. Inevitably, the illustration was seen as a tribute to the Dragon Ball Z era , when the characters had a darker and more realistic look.

However, it was the appearance of Black Frieza on the back cover of the volume that caused a real stir in the community. This detail indicated who the Z fighters would face and fueled hopes that the villain would star in the next arc of the series.

According to Toyotarō, the Dragon Ball Super manga will continue without Akira Toriyama's supervision, following a new storyline independent of the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie adaptation. Therefore, fans believe Toyotarō will have complete creative control over the work, published in V-Jump magazine by Shueisha .

Finally, the manga can be read digitally via Viz Media and Manga Plus. And of course, if you want to keep up with the latest news from the world of anime, follow AnimeNew on WhatsApp and also on Instagram.
