Ufotable Aniplex and have clearly positioned themselves against the use of Artificial Intelligence in their productions. During the Astra Film Awards, representatives from the studios stated that human talent will remain their priority.

According to the studio, AI can assist with technical processes. However, it doesn't replace real emotions. Therefore, animators, screenwriters, and voice actors remain central to creating genuine connections with the audience.

The statement came after the awards ceremony for the film Demon Slayer: Castle Infinite, the latest installment in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series. The film reinforced the value of handcrafted work by moving fans around the world.

Furthermore, the numbers support this choice. The first part of the Infinite Castle trilogy surpassed the $800 million mark in global box office revenue. Therefore, its success proves that quality and visual identity remain strong differentiators.

Meanwhile, other studios are testing AI to reduce costs. On the other hand, Ufotable prefers to maintain its essence. Thus, it consolidates itself as a benchmark in high-level traditional animation.
