The video “Film in Memory of the Second Anniversary of the Vinland ” announced on Wednesday that the production of the second season of the anime has been given the green light.

Synopsis
As a child, Thorfinn sat at the feet of the great Leif Ericson and thrilled to hear wild tales of a land far to the west. But his youthful fantasies were shattered by an unexpected attack from the Viking mercenary Askalaad. Raised by the Vikings responsible for his father's murder, Thorfinn became a fearsome warrior intent on killing the leader Askeladd to exact his revenge. Thus, through overcoming obstacles, Thorfinn pursues his dream of living in a fertile land in the west, a land without war or slavery… the land Leif called Vinland.
The anime's first season premiered in July 2019 and streamed on Amazon Prime Video . However, the new season does not yet have a premiere date.
Staff
Shuuhei Yabuta ( Attack on Titan 3D director ) directed the anime at Wit Studio ( Great Pretender ). Hiroshi Seko ( Banana Fish ) supervised the series scripts and wrote them with Kenta Ihara ( Saga of Tanya the Evil ). Takahiko Abiru ( Hunter × Hunter animation director ) designed the characters. Yutaka Yamada ( Tokyo Ghoul ) composed the music.
Yukimura finally launched Vinland Saga in Kodansha in 2005, but Kodansha moved the series to Afternoon magazine later that year. Yukimura began drawing the manga's fourth and final arc in November 2019. The series has over 5.5 million copies in circulation.
