The video “Film in memory of the second anniversary of the Vinland ” announced this Wednesday that the production of the 2nd season of the anime has received the green light.

Synopsis
As a child, Thorfinn sat at the feet of the great Leif Ericson and thrilled to hear wild tales of a land far to the west. But his youthful fantasies were shattered by an unexpected attack by the Viking mercenary Askalaad. Raised by the Vikings who were responsible for his father's murder, Thorfinn became a fearsome warrior with the goal of killing the leader Askeladd for revenge. Thus, through overcoming, Thorfinn continues his dream of living in a fertile land in the west, a land without war or slavery... the land Leif called Vinland.
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2019 and was streamed on Amazon Prime Video . Furthermore, the new season does not yet have a premiere date.
Staff
Shuuhei Yabuta ( Inuyashiki director, 3D director on Attack on Titan ) directed the anime at Wit Studio ( Great Pretender ). Hiroshi Seko ( Banana Fish ) supervised the series' scripts and wrote them with Kenta Ihara ( Saga of Tanya the Evil ). Takahiko Abiru ( Hunter × Hunter animation director ) designed the characters. Yutaka Yamada ( Tokyo Ghoul ) composed the music.
Ultimately, Yukimura launched Vinland Saga in Kodansha in 2005, but Kodansha moved the series to Afternoon magazine later that year. Yukimura began drawing the manga's fourth and final arc in November 2019. The series has over 5.5 million copies in circulation.
